Bible Banqueting Published!
My book, Bible Banqueting: Personal Bible Study to Deepen Fellowship with God is now published. I call it Bible Banqueting because the Bible is like a big feast with so much to try. It’s something God has prepared before us. I wrote it because I wanted to help others encounter the greatness of God through Bible study like I have. I was in something called the National Bible Bee as a kid and teenager, which involves Bible study and memorization. I got experience studying the Bible through that, and I had unspeakably amazing times with God as I prayed and sought Him. I can’t picture my life without that time.…

Bible Study Is Not Just About Finding A Takeaway
After completing a Bible study exercise, we might find ourselves with something in front of us that summarizes a Bible passage or pulls something out of it in a nice, clear way. It is a finished product of some work we just did. But is that what we just did the work for? Was it to have the finished product to look at so we know better now what’s in the passage, or to have a sentence of truth or wisdom to keep in mind the rest of the day?
